Delegation from British House of Lords arrives in Oman

The delegation from the  British House of Lords led by Lord Geoffrey James Dear, Deputy speaker of the House of Lords, was received at the Muscat International Airport on Saturday by Hon. Nada Hassan Mohammed al Jamali and Hon.Saleh Zakwani, members of the State Council.
 
The visit comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and developing cooperation between the two councils.
 
The British delegation includes Baroness Francis Gertrude, Lord Igor Judge, Baroness Simon Jari  Finn, Lord Navnit Dholakia and Vice-President of the British Omani Society Richard Muir.
 
The program of the visit includes meetings with a number of officials, dialogues and discussions with honorable members of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura on various aspects of cooperation between the two councils and their legislative and supervisory work.
 
The program also includes a visit to some of the cultural and historical landmarks in the Sultanate.
