Sultanate delegation participates in Arab Parliament meeting in Cairo

The delegation representing the Sultanate comprising of members from the State and Majlis A’Shura on Tuesday attended the fourth meeting of the first session of the second legislative term. The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Mishal Faham Asalmi, President of the Arab Parliament, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
 
The Arab Parliament expressed deepest regrets on the demise of Hon.Raheela bint A’mer Al Riyamiyah on 05/02/2017. She was the member of the previous term of State Council and participated in the Arab parliament meetings as a member of the delegation from the Sultanate. Hon.Rahila was an active member of the Committee of social, educational, cultural affairs for woman and youth in Arab Parliament. The Parliament stated that she would be remembered for her extreme commitment and contributions to the work of the Arab parliament.
The meeting performed a review of the current parliament plan and discussed the reports of the four committees:  Foreign affairs, Politics and Arab National Security Committee, the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, the Committee on Legal and Human Rights, the Committee on Social Affairs, Education, Culture, and Woman and Youth.
It approved the agenda for the current period, and discussed the results. Additionally, it approved the report of the second meeting of the heads of Councils and parliaments of Arab, which detailed the decisions and recommendations.
The Parliament approved the meeting minutes of the second session of the first session of the second legislative term.
The delegation representing the Sultanate comprises of State Council members, Hon.Musallam bin Ali Al Maashani, Vice president of the Arab Parliament and  is the member of the Foreign affairs, Politics and Arab National Security Committee,  Hon.Khamis bin Said Al Sulaimi, member of Social affairs, Education, Culture, and Woman and Youth committee at the Arab parliament.
Also attending are, Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Member of Majlis A’Shura and member of the Economic and Financial Affairs  Committee and HE Sheikh Salim bin Ali Al Kaabi, member of the Majlis A’Shura  and member of the Legal and Legislative Committee and human rights of the Arab parliament.
