The study of "Empowering researchers in academic and research institutions and linking them to industrial and commercial institutions” and the report of the Special Committee to review the annual report of the State Financial and Administrative Control Authority for the fiscal year 2015 was discussed at the Bureau meet today. Details: Today, the State Council Bureau discussed the study of "Empowering researchers in academic and research institutions and linking them to industrial and commercial institutions". The tenth Bureau meeting chaired by HE.Dr.Yahya Bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri was held in the presence of the honored Bureau members and the Secretary General of the Council. The meeting hosted Hon.Dr.Abdullah Mubarak Salim Al Shanfari, Head of the Committee of Education and Research and the Hon.Dr. Rashid Abdullah Masoud Al Yahyai, Rapporteur of the Committee for deliberation on the study. The study aims to monitor the reality of researchers in academic and research institutions, review legislations governing research and access legislation and the experiences of some of the leading countries in this field, as well as take a stand on the challenges and the development of proposals to overcome them. During the meeting, the Bureau discussed the report of the Special Committee to review the annual report of the State Financial and Administrative Control Authority for the fiscal year 2015. The Bureau also discussed the draft law (s) approved by the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and discussed a proposal to distribute the laws issued before the issuance of the statutes of the State within the Council's jurisdiction. The Bureau was briefed on the Council of Ministers' response to the studies submitted by the State Council on "Civil society organizations from the legislative and supervisory perspective" and "The mechanism for developing the role of Omani women's associations". It also noted the report of the General Secretariat on the role of the Traffic Law in curtailing accidents and the preservation of life and property and the accompanying exhibition, as well as observed a graphic presentation on the "philosophy of education in the Sultanate of Oman." At the conclusion of its meeting, the Bureau fixed the date and agenda for the 10th and 11th regular meetings of the second annual session of the sixth term.
