State Council welcomes school students on an awareness visit

Students from Hind Bint usaid Al Ansariya School visited the State Council for a familiarization tour.
State Council, today welcomed students from Hind Bint usaid Al Ansariya School to its premises for a familiarization tour. State Council upholds the viewpoint that it is imperative for the citizens especially, students to be aware of the significant role it plays in contributing to the comprehensive development programs of the nation. The young students gained an insight into how the State Council works through a presentation delivered by Hanan Saif Al Yazidi, Head of Meetings Management Section, and Department of Economic Committee Affairs. She detailed the articles that stipulate the number of its members, and the mechanism of their appointment, and the terms of membership of the State Council, and the difference between the State Council and the Majlis Ash’shura, in terms of reference, and the draft law process. The presentation included detailing of the organization setup of the State Council, the various organs that comprise it, the responsibilities and the tasks assigned to it. The students toured the State Council, which included a visit to the main meeting hall where the members meet. The visit concluded with the queries of students were answered.
