Legal Committee discusses Land Laws with officials of MRMWR

The Legal Committee of the State Council hosted on Monday, officials of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources(MRMWR), to add value to its  study,  "Land Laws of the Sultanate ".
The committee’s ninth meeting headed by Hon. Issa Said Sulaiman Al Kiyumi, Deputy Head of the Committee  was held in the presence of the honourable Committee members and the General Secretariat staff. 
It discussed with them several topics related to the study, including: The Ministry of Municipalities and Water Resource’s powers with regard to land use, the challenges facing the Ministry with respect to the land sector, as well as discussed the Ministry's proposals related to the development of land laws in the Sultanate.
The Ministry of Municipalities was represented by: Waleed bin Yaqoob al-Saadi, Advisor to the Minister for Health Supervision from Muscat, Said bin Salem al-Kalbani, Director General of Municipalities and Water Resources of North Batinah Region and Bader bin Mohammed Saidi, Director of the Ministry's legal department-Muscat.
 
At the meeting, the Committee discussed the Economic Committee’s opinion on the "System (unified Law) governing the activity of companies and private enterprises working in the field of urgent mail and parcels for the GCC countries."
The Committee also noted the follow-up report on the implementation of the decisions taken at its two previous meetings, as well as an update on its agenda and the adoption of appropriate decisions.
