GUtech Students visit State Council
The State Council on Wednesday received a student delegation from the Faculty of Business and Economics of the the German University of Technology in Oman (Gutech), who visited the Council to learn about its role in national work, its powers, competencies and mechanism of work.
The students were received by Amjad Bin Yahya al-Busaidi, Director of the Public Relations Department of the Council, who delivered a presentation that detailed varied aspects of the Council of Oman, including its role and importance and the provisions relating to the State Council in accordance with the Basic Statute of the State.
The presentation detailed the Council’s organisational structure, its legislative and supervisory powers and steps of the draft law process and the duration it takes. He also touched on the Council's activities that aim at strengthening its communication with the community.
The students watched a documentary about the Council and toured its premises to learn about its various facilities.
