State Council Chairman receives Nepal's House of Representatives delegation

HE.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council received on Sunday, the delegation of the Nepali House of Representatives headed by Bimal Prasad, Chairman of the Council's Human Rights Committee, as part of the delegation's current official visit to Oman.
 
The State Council Chairman highlighted the importance of developing relations between Oman and Nepal, noting in this regard the promising prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields, especially in economic and cultural aspects, and stressing the role of the Council of Oman and the Parliament of Nepal.
 
Further, on, he highlighted the importance of mutual visits in strengthening cooperation between the two councils and exchanging experiences between them, highlighting the development of the shura process in Oman and the role of the Oman Council in national action through its legislative and supervisory powers and within the framework of the state of institutions and law.
 
For his part, Bimal Prasad expressed his country's keenness to strengthen relations with the Sultanate and   cooperation in common interests. In addition, he said that Nepal looks forward to the establishment of a joint committee between the Federal Parliament of Nepal and the Council of Oman to enable further development of relations in line with the aspirations of the two friendly countries.
 
The meeting was attended by Hon.Sheikh Al Khattab bin Ghalib Al-Hinai, Vice Chairman of the State Council, several honorable council members, the Secretary-General of the council and the Ambassador of the Republic of Nepal accredited to the Sultanate.
