State Council Chairman receives participants of Oman Partnership and Social Responsibility Forum

H.E. Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, State Council Chairman received today the delegation that participated in the Oman Partnership and Social Responsibility Forum that concluded on Tuesday.
 
The second session of the Forum, organized by Al Roya Newspaper had received the participation of a number Specialists from the field of social responsibility from difference countries.
The Council Chairman welcomed the delegation and underlined the Council's profile and its role in the national action process in the Sultanate.
He noted that the visit of the delegation of participants to the Council coincides with two important events in the Sultanate: Firstly, the Sultanate’s celebration of Omani Women's Day, which marks and acknowledges the rich contribution of the Omani women.  He added that the Omani women has today prominent presence in various arenas and their access to advanced centers and positions is owing to the high support and keenness of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to support the process of empowering women in all fields.
The second milestone, H.E.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri said is the progress made by the Sultanate as per the World Competitiveness Report 2018, which is considered to be the the most comprehensive assessment of national competitiveness providing insight into the drivers of their productivity and prosperity.  He said the achievement is the culmination of Sultanate's efforts to improve its competitiveness and is a catalyst for further work to augment progress.   
He praised the importance of the Omani Forum for Partnership and Social Responsibility and its role in strengthening the concepts of community service, achieving economic development and enhancing competitive advantages by leveraging global expertise and pioneering models in this field. 
Hon.Hatem bin Hamad al Taie, State Council member and Editor-in-Chief of the Al Roya Newspaper, reviewed the main outcomes of the Oman Partnership and Social Responsibility Forum titled: ‘Social Responsibility: National Commitment to support Sustainable Development’.
The members of the delegation expressed their pleasure regarding the visit to the Sultanate, participation in the Forum and noted the developments in the field of social responsibility, which they considered represented an opportunity for the transfer of experiences.
