Sultanate advocates values of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence”- says Jean Asselborn

HE.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn and his accompanying delegation reviewed bilateral relations, cooperation , regional developments and international issues of mutual interest .
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations and means of developing cooperation between the Sultanate and Luxembourg.

HE.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council, today received the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn and his accompanying delegation as part of his current official visit to the Sultanate.
The Chairman warmly welcomed the visitors and highlighted the importance of the visit and its role in enhancing bilateral relations and opening new avenues of cooperation between the Sultanate and Luxembourg.
He stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the Sultanate and the European Union, particularly Luxembourg in all fields.
In this regard, the cooperation agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the European Union aimed at expanding cooperation in the fields of industry and trade Science and technology.
Sultanate’s stand on working towards achieving peace, security and stability at the regional and international levels was stressed by HE.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri and he urged the approval of a positive dialogue approach to the peaceful settlement of disputes. This has resulted in remarkable successes that had a positive impact on the stability of the region.
On his part, Jean Asselborn expressed his happiness regarding the visit to the Sultanate and expressed his admiration for the development witnessed in all fields
He stressed the keenness of his country to consolidate existing relations with the Sultanate, saying: "We look forward to further development and prosperity of the relations of cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields to contribute to the achievement of their common interests.”
The wise foreign policy pursued by the Sultanate based on the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, deserves praise he said and noted the efforts of the Sultanate and its prominent role in safeguarding regional stability and supporting world peace.
Adding further he said, “Sultanate is a role model in advocating the values of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence among peoples.”
The meeting had the attendance of Hon.Salim Mohamed Masoud Al Riyami, Hon. Said Ali Salim Al Kalbani and the delegation accompanying the guest.
