State Council Chairman participates in the centennial celebrations of the Azerbaijani parliament

 H.E.Mr.Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic ofAzerbaijan, received H.E.Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council in an expanded meeting with a number of Heads of parliamentary blocs participating in the 100-year anniversary of the Azerbaijani parliament. 
 
During the meeting, H.E. Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said to H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev and wishes to the Azerbaijani people for their progress and prosperity.
 
On his part, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev conveyed to H.E.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, State Greetings for His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and the Omani people continued progress.  
 
During the meeting with the Heads of the parliaments, the President of Azerbaijan highlighted the important role of parliaments in promoting inter-state ties and strengthening communication between people, affirming his country's keenness to develop cooperative relations with various countries of the world, and expressing his gratitude and appreciation to them for participating in the centennial celebrations. 
 
H.E. Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh al-Manthri, Chairman of the Council of State, and his delegation are participating in the celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the Azerbaijani National Council on Friday.
 
The Council Chairman is expected to meet on Saturday the Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Ogtay Asadev.
The delegation accompanying H.E. Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh al-Manthri comprised of Hon.Eng. Rahma Hamed Al Musharrafi, Hon.Ahmed Yousuf Obaid Al Harthi and Hon.Sheikh Nasser bin Saeed Al Haddabi.
