State Council takes part in meetings of Arab Parliament panels

The State Council participated in meetings of the standing committees of the Arab Parliament, which began on Monday at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, in preparation for the First session of the Arab Parliament.
Hon.Musallam bin Ali Al Maashani, Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament, member of Foreign affairs, Political Affairs and National Security Committee, participated in the first committee meeting of the third session of Legislative Chapter II, which discussed the developments in the region and the periodic report on political developments in the Arab world. In addition, it reviewed the committee's program of work for the current session and ratified the minutes of its previous meeting.
Hon.Khamis bin Said Al Sulaimi, member of the State Council and member of Social Affairs, Education, Culture and Woman and Youth committee on Tuesday, participated in the first committee meeting for the current third session. The social affairs committee reviewed various topics such as implementing the Arab media map for sustainable development 2030, the first Arab Cultural Summit, Arab unified standard law on higher education and scientific research, and a proposed workshop on refugees, displaced Arab women and children.
