Committee of Culture, Information and Tourism hosts Deputy Chairman of PART

The Committee of Culture, Information and Tourism of the State Council hosted H.E. Nasser Bin Suleiman al-Sibani, Deputy Chairman of the Public Authority for Radio and Television (PART) and a number of officials at its fifth meeting of the fourth annual session of the sixth period.
The meeting held on Sunday was headed by Hon.Dr. Ahmed Ali Mohammed Al Mashikhi, Head of the Committee in the presence of the honourable Committee members and Secretariat staff as part of the Committee's study on ‘The role of Omani drama in the community- Theater model’. The study aims to delve into the reality of the Omani Theatre in all its aspects, to identify the difficulties it faces and to propose appropriate solutions to overcome them, to identify the role of governmental and private institutions and bodies, especially educational, in supporting and supplying the Omani theatre with technical staff specialized in the field of drama and dramatic production and suggesting ways to revitalize the theatrical movement and maximize its return. The Committee discussed with the officials of the Public Authority for Radio and Television several topics related to the study. The delegation included Abdullah bin Saeed al-Shuaili, Head of the visual sector, and Sultan bin Khalid al-Esri, an expert and acting drama production sector of the Authority. At the meeting, the Committee on Culture, Information and Tourism reviewed the work plan of the Sub-Committee formed to study the "organization of Advertising. The committee approved the minutes of its previous meeting, discussed new issues on the agenda, and took the appropriate decisions.
