Technology and Innovation Com. identifies tasks for study preparation

The Subcommittee emanating from the Technology and Innovation Committee of the State Council tasked to study the “draft law of Technology investment and innovation”, on Wednesday, identified the tasks for preparing for the study.
The study aims to review legislations related to investment in the fields of technology and innovation in Oman, identify the challenges facing investment in these areas, hinder innovation, and propose an integrated system that provides a stimulating environment for innovation in the technical fields to contribute to the diversification of sources of national income.
The second committee meeting of the first annual session of the seventh term, headed by Hon.Dr Maryam bint Abdullah bin Rajab Al Awadiyah, Committee Head was held in the presence of the honorable members of the committee, and a number of employees of the Secretariat.
The meeting approved the minutes of its previous meeting, in addition to reviewing the latest developments pertaining to its agenda.
