Report reviews social security, child protection from accidents and club services

The Social Committee of the State Council today reviewed the comments of the honourable members on the draft report prepared on the theme of "Developing social security system”.
 
It includes the philosophy, the objectives, the legislation of the Social Security programme, and the future vision for its development, which were drawn from the study of the topic, following the hosting of relevant officials from the Ministry of Social Development and the Omani Authority for charitable and other associations.
The Committee also reviewed the findings of the subcommittees relating to the study of the objective of protecting children from accidents, the reality of the services provided by clubs to the community and the means to benefit from them.
The fourth meeting today headed by Hon.Dr.Hamed Sulaiman Salim Al Salmi was held in the presence of the horonorable members of the Committee and staff of the Secretariat.
During the meeting, the minutes of the Committee's previous meeting were validated, follow-up to the implementation of the decisions taken as well as an update of the work performed.
