The Legal Committee of the State Council on Tuesday hosted several officials of the Ministry of Justice, within the framework of the committee’s proposal to study and review the Book of Notary Public Law issued by Royal Decree No. (40/2003).
The seventh committee meeting of the first annual session of the seventh term headed by the Hon.Dr. Rashid bin Salim bin Rashid al Badi, Committee Head, was held in the presence of honorable members of the committee and several staff of the General Secretariat of the Council.
Focus was placed on a set of important axes related to the study, including: Identifying the challenges faced in application of the provisions of the law, and the challenges of documenting documents related to registering old real estate, and listening to the ministry’s proposals regarding the powers exercised by the book on justice in accordance with what is stated in the law, in addition to its proposals regarding developing the Book of Notary Public Law.
At the end of its meeting, the committee reviewed the report on the follow-up of the actions and the decisions taken at its previous meeting, in addition to ratifying the minutes of the same meeting, and touched on new developments.
