A delegation from the Fitch Foundation visited the State Council today as part of its current visit to the Sultanate to review the latest developments in its financial and economic performance within the context of the Foundation’s annual credit status assessment program.
The delegation was received by Hon.Dr. Said Mubarak Said Al Muharrami, State Council Member and Dr. Ahmed bin Humaid Al Shibli, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Information and Research Center and a number of researchers from the Council's Information and Research Center.
During the meeting, they touched on a number of topics related to enhancing the economic performance of the Sultanate, particularly in the field of investment and attracting investors in the light of its assets, including industrial and economic cities that provide a package of incentives for investors.
The meeting also addressed the important role played by the Council of Oman in reviewing legislation related to economic and financial issues and coordinating between the Council and the Government in order to strengthen the national economy.
At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the council to be acquainted with its various facilities.
