British House Of Lords Delegation Concludes Its Visit To Sultanate

The delegation of the British House of Lords concluded their visit to the Sultanate on Wednesday.
 
The visit, which comes within the framework of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries and the development of cooperation between the two councils, included meetings with a number of officials. 
 
During  the visit , the British delegation held meetings with the State  Council Chairman , Chairman of Majlis A’ Shura, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Sultan and the Chairman of the Board of the  Economic Zone Authority of Duqm, and the Chairman of the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa).
 
On Wednesday, the delegation met with H.E Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Planning Council, and the Head of the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit.
 
The delegation also held discussions and with members of the State Council and Majlis A’ Shura on the various aspects of cooperation between the two chambers and their legislative and supervisory mechanisms.
 
The delegation's program included a visit to some of the cultural and historical landmarks in the Sultanate. The delegation visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
 
The delegation led by Lord Geoffrey James Dear, Deputy speaker of the House of Lords, included Baroness Frances Gertrude, Lord Igor Judge, Baroness Simone Jari Finn, Lord Navnit Dholakia and vice president of the British Omani Society Richard Muir.
The delegation was seen off at Muscat International Airport today by Hon. Saleh bin Mohamed Al Zakwani, member of the State Council, and Amjad Bin Yahya Al Busaidi, Director of Public Relations Department.
