Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College delegation received at State Council

State Council members, Hon. Rashid Saif Mohsin Al Shidi, Hon.Mahfoodh Hamood Mohamed Al Wahaibi and Hon.Saif bin Ali Al Amiri today received the delegation representing Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College, led by Brigadier Zaid AL-Zabaedi, Head of Education Department at the Jordanian College, currently visiting the Sultanate.
The honorable members welcomed the guests and wished them a successful visit and wished that they achieve their desired objectives, to support bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Hon. Rashid Saif Mohsin Al Shidi praised the existing relations between the Sultanate and Jordan and the strong relations between the two countries and its friendly people and the progress made by them.
The two sides exchanged viewpoints and discussed several issues of common concern.
As a part of the visit, they viewed the documentary featuring the State Council, which detailed the functions and powers of the Council, the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to it as well as spoke about the organizational structure of the Council and its major organs. It also defined the profile of the Oman Council, its role and significance in governance.
The documentary touched on the special provisions of the Basic Statute, which specifies the membership number, the mechanism for their appointment, terms of membership, and the differences between the membership and role of the State Council and the Majlis A’Shura.
It highlighted the role of the Council of Oman, its role and the provisions of the State Council as per the stipulations of the Basic Statue, and the role of the Council in legislative and oversight aspects.
Brigadier and the Jordanian delegation expressed deep thanks and appreciation to the members for the warm reception and expressed their happiness regarding the visit and toured the Council of Oman building, its latest high- tech facilities which facilitate parliamentary work and contribute to activation of communication.
They shared their admiration for the development witnessed in all fields of development under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Brigadier expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Jordan will witness further development, prosperity and development in a manner that will contribute to the realization of their common interests
