State Council participates in seminar on Arab economic integration

State Council participated on Sunday in the seminar organized by the Arab Parliament that aimed to enhance Arab economic integration.
State Council participated on 23 April in the seminar organized by the Arab Parliament that aimed to enhance Arab economic integration. The seminar titled, "Legislative mechanisms and methodological approaches for implementation” was held under the chairmanship of the Speaker, H.E. Dr.Mishaal Bin Fahd at the headquarters of the League of Arab states. Dr.Mishaal Bin Fahd called for the need to work to remove obstacles to Arab economic integration particularly as the Arab countries have the necessary resources to establish a great cooperation. He added that the seminar would produce important conclusions and recommendations to identify obstacles to achieving Economic cooperation between Arab countries. Hon.Musallam bin Ali Al Maashani, Deputy speaker of the Arab parliament and member of the Foreign affairs, Politics and Arab National Security Committee and Hon.Khamis bin Said Al Sulaimi, member of Social affairs, Education, Culture, and Woman and Youth committee attended the seminar. It aimed to activate the role of the legislative audit system of Arab economic framework of the Arab league and Arab Parliament, and provide practical vision of an integrated and unified perception about programs to achieve economic integration. It called for promoting legislations and removing obstacles to develop the Arab region into an investment attractive environment. The seminar reviewed and discussed the best practices in the Arab cooperative frameworks to take advantage of regional and global economic systems on drafting and increased trade between states. It discussed the requirements of the investment environment, appropriate and encouraging effective investment incentives among Arab states. It focused on how to build a workable solution to benefit from the experience with the aim to develop appropriate perceptions to diversify the Arab economic structures. The Seminar included two meetings titled approaches to Arab economic integration during which a number of specialists and economists and academics participated, while Arabs meeting reviewed the second legislative mechanisms for Arab economic integration and included a number of papers by the parliamentarians, economists and ambassadors.
