VP of PACI shares views on studies of “Digital Cultural Content” and “Omani heritage villages”

The Culture, Information and Tourism Committee of the State Council held on Monday, its eighth meeting of the first annual session of the seventh term, chaired by Hon. Dr.Aisha bint Hamad bin Said al Darmakiyah, Head of the Committee, in the presence of honorable committee members and a number of General Secretariat employees.

Vice President of the Public Authority for Craft Industries (PACI) in the context of the studies of the committee on "Omani Digital Cultural Content." and "Investment in Traditional Omani heritage villages to attract tourism.”
The Committee reviewed with the VP of PACI, several aspects of these two studies.
With regard to the study of "Omani digital cultural content", it discussed the mechanism followed by PACI to promote the Sultanate culturally, its mechanism in presenting and displaying cultural content, its joint efforts to document and market the cultural product, the existing cooperation between PACI and other governmental institutions in this regard, and the challenges facing the authority in organizing and promoting cultural content and its visions to overcome these challenges.
The Committee also discussed with the VP of PACI, the axes of studying "Investment in Traditional Omani heritage villages to attract tourism”, its aspects related to the competences of PACI.
