State Council Chairman discusses strengthening parliamentary cooperation with Azerbaijan

H.E.Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al-Manthri,State Council Chairman met on Saturday  the President of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Ogtay  Asadev within the framework of his current visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan to participate in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the National Council.
Ogtay Asadev thanked them for participating in the centennial celebrations. 
 
The Council Chairman and members of the accompanying delegation thanked him and thanked them for participating in the celebration of the centennial of the establishment of the National Council. 
 
He noted the status of relations between the two countries and expressed future aspirations for their development and expansion to include various areas of cooperation, especially with regard to the exchange of experiences in the field of parliamentary work.
 
The Council Chairman expressed his pleasure to participate in the centennial celebration of the establishment of the National Council in Azerbaijan, and pointed out that the celebration reflects the legacy of parliamentary practice in Azerbaijan. 
 
His Excellency highlighted the development of the Shura  practice in the Sultanate and reviewed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the parliamentary fields.
 
Both sides engaged in a comprehensive and constructive discussion on many topics of mutual interest. A number of Azerbaijani officials attended the meeting.
 
The State Council will return to the Sultanate on Sunday after concluding the official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
 
The delegation accompanying H.E. Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh al-Manthri comprised of Hon.Eng. Rahma Hamed Al Musharrafi, Hon.Ahmed Yousuf Obaid Al Harthi and Hon.Sheikh Nasser bin Saeed Al Haddabi.
