State Council to discuss regulation of training institutions at upcoming Regular Session

The State Council Bureau meeting, held today discussed the agenda for the first session of the Fourth term and discussed the proposal "development of the regulation of private training institutions.”
H.E. Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council chaired the Bureau meeting in the presence of the Bureau members and H.E.Dr. Khalid Saeedi, the Secretary General of the Council.
 
The Education and Research Committee presented the proposal of its desired study, titled “Development of the regulation for private training Institutions", and hosted in this regard, Hon.Dr. Zuhoor Abdullah Salim Al Khanjari, Deputy Head of the Committee, for discussing the proposal and the Bureau decided following discussions to present it at the next Regular Session of the Council for discussion.
 
The Bureau hosted Hon.Dr. Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Salmi, Head of the Social Committee and Hon.Dr. Muna Ahmed Ali Al Saadoon, Rapporteur of the Committee for discussion of the study presented by the Committee on the "Protection of children from accidents", which aims to monitor the reality of child accidents in Oman.
 
The office also hosted Hon. Dr. Hasan Ali Mohammed Al Madhani to discuss the proposal for a study on "Enhancing the use of manpower in the public sector".
 
The Bureau of the Council discussed the proposal made by the Knowledge Economy Working Group on the "proposal of the State Council to establish a Waqf to support education, research and innovation", and discussed the proposal by a number of honourable members of the Council on the study of the promulgation of a law "to regulate the uses of biotechnology and its products and protect Genetic data in the Sultanate ".
 
Also, the Bureau reviewed the observations made by the Parliamentary Friendship Committees of the Council on a proposal to "organize the working mechanism of parliamentary friendship committees."
 
The Bureau was briefed about a number of reports, including: a report on the activities of the Committee on Education and Research during the third annual session of the sixth period of the Council, the report of the Secretariat-General Assistance for meetings and committees on work during the third annual session, and a report on the participation of the delegation of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura in the work of the sixth annual meeting of the Assembly of Secretaries-General of the Arab Parliaments held during the period 11-12 of July .
 
Lastly, the Bureau reviewed a follow-up report on the implementation of the resolutions adopted at its previous meeting.
