Jordanian delegation briefed on investment opportunities, discuss  boosting  diplomatic relations

Yahya bin Saeed al Jabri, chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD), received on Tuesday, the Jordanian delegation from the Parliamentary Friendship Committee between the State Council and the Jordanian Senate, headed by HE Nayef Al Hadid. Sheikh Nasser bin Saeed al-Hadabi and the Hon. Saif bin Ali al-Amiri, members of the committee.
 
                    
                    His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Economic Zone Authority welcomed the delegation, stressing the depth of the relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Jordan, and the broad prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially economic and investment. 
 
He pointed out in this regard that the Economic Zone has many investment opportunities, and provides investors with great facilities to attract investments to the region, which has many comparative advantages and competitiveness that qualify it to become a regional shipping terminal and logistics gateway to the Gulf region.
 
Investments between industrial, commercial, tourism and social projects, qualify it as a model for integrated economic cities.
 
The delegation viewed a video presentation that reviewed the national objectives of establishing the region, notably: diversifying sources of national income, providing more employment opportunities for citizens and development of the central governorate, as well as incentives and incentives to encourage investors to invest in the region. 
 
It highlighted Duqm, refinery, fishing port, airport, residential, commercial and logistics complexes. 
 
The delegation was also received by Dr. Mohammed bin Awad Al-Hassan, who is responsible for running the agent's office.
 
Dr. Mohammed bin Awad Al-Hassan, who is in charge of conducting the work of the Office of the Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received in his office on Tuesday, the delegation of the Jordanian side of the parliamentary friendship committee between the State Council and the Jordanian Senate.
 
He stressed the compatibility of the two countries' approaches to foreign policy and coordination between them in various international forums.
 
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Jordan and means of enhancing them in various fields to serve their common interests and benefit the citizens.
 
The delegation of the Jordanian Senate visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and were briefed about the historical background of the mosque and learned about the architectural designs of Oman and Islamic countries.
 
The delegation also visited the Royal Opera House and learned about its role and position as one of the leading institutions in the field of art and culture in the Sultanate.
