State Council highly values His Majesty’s strong support for joint action within Council of Oman

The Council appreciated the high support received from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said for the joint meetings and monitoring. It stated that the Council of Oman would continue to play its vital role in establishing the concept of the state of institutions and the law. The session reviewed the report of the joint committee of the State Council and Majlis Ash’shura on the Draft Penal Code and approved the 2018 budget of the State Council.

The Regular Session was chaired by HE.Dr.Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council, in the presence of the honored and distinguished members of the Council. The Chairman of the Council shared greetings for Eid Al-Fitr, prayed for good health and long life of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin said whose exemplary vision has ushered the nation and its people towards progress and prosperity. He pointed out that the agenda included the report of the joint committee of the State Council and Majlis Ash’shura on the "Draft Penal Code", and the 2018 budget of the State Council. In course of reviewing the report of the joint committee between the State Council and Majlis Ash’shura on the "Draft Penal Code", the Council appreciated the high support of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said for the joint meetings and His Majesty's monitoring. The Council of Oman will continue to play its vital role in establishing the concept of the state of institutions and the law. Subsequently, the Council addressed the discussion and approval of the 2018 Budget of the State Council. The Council noted the telegrams, reports and letters, including letters from the Council of Ministers, which included the proposal made by the State Council during its Fifth term on the Council's desire to establish a National human resources development fund and reply to the proposals made by the State Council on " Civil society institutions from the legislative and regulatory perspective " and " mechanism for developing the role of Omani Women's Associations ". The Council also noted the annual report of the State Financial and Administrative oversight of the financial year 2015 in addition to the report of the Secretariat.
