Economic Committee discusses the draft law on statistics and information

On Monday, the Economic Committee at the State Council discussed the draft law on statistics and information transferred by the Council of Ministers, which was approved by the Majlis A’ Shura and referred it to the State Council.
 
This was as per the stipulations of Article 58 (bis) (37) of the Basic Law that states: Draft laws are forwarded by the Council of Ministers to the State Council. Majlis A’ Shura, which must decide on the draft law by approving or amending it within three months from the date of referral to it and then refer it to the State Council, which must decide it by approval or amendment within forty-five days at the most from the date of referral to it.
 
At its fourth meeting, the Economic Committee meeting was headed by the Hon.Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Harthy in the presence of the honorable Committee members. 
The meeting approved the minutes of the previous meeting.
