Social Committee hosts Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports Affairs

The Social Committee of the State Council meeting held under the chairmanship of the Hon.Dr.Hamad bin Sulaiman Al Salmi, head of the Committee hosted Ahmed Al-Hinai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports Affairs and a number of officials of the ministry.
The hosting comes within the framework of the Committees study on the subject of "the reality of services provided by sports clubs and how to benefit from them to serve the community."  It aims to enrich the study with proposals and opinions to enable further development of the clubs, and to identify the efforts exerted by the ministry in this regard.
The committee discussed with the Ministry officials the reality of the sports clubs in the Sultanate and the most important services they provide, the challenges and difficulties facing the club's work and suggestions for solutions to develop clubs and raise them to meet the aspirations and needs of the community.
The studies and surveys on the role of clubs in the service of society, and the future of this role in light of the continued conditions of the activities and the physical, moral and administrative capabilities necessary to meet the requirements and aspirations of the community of these clubs.
The committee reviewed the future vision of clubs, the extent of their interest in investments to improve their physical status to play their role effectively.
In addition, it reviewed the extent to which the laws and regulations relating to clubs are in line with their present status and the aspirations of their managers to improve and develop their roles and opinions on the privatization of sports clubs.
