Social Committee dIscuss proposals to reduce the effects of Corona virus

| The Social Committee of the State Council reviewed, in its twelfth meeting for the first annual session of the seventh term, headed by Hon.Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Amri, Head of the Committee in the presence of the honorable committee members, a number of proposals and topics submitted by the honorable members of the committee on the Corona virus pandemic (Covid 19). |
| At the end of the meeting, the committee approved the minutes of its previous meeting, reviewed the new issues on its agenda, and took appropriate decisions regarding them. Furthermore, the sub-committee emanating from the Social Committee in charge of studying the "Reality of caring for the elderly in the Sultanate" held its third meeting for the first annual session of the seventh term. The committee reviewed in its meeting headed by Hon.Sheikh Mansour bin Harith al-Amri, Committee head, held in the presence of the honorable members of the committee, and several Secretariat staff, the first draft of the study. It is worth mentioning that the study aims to determine the reality of the policies and legislations for the care and protection of the elderly in the Sultanate and to identify the efforts made by the concerned authorities in this framework, and to seek to develop proposals and mechanisms. |
