Social Committee reviews findings of its study for the care of the elderly
The Social Committee of the State Council reviewed today at its tenth meeting of the first annual session of the seventh term, headed by Hon.Ahmed bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Habshi al Amri, Committee Head, in the presence of honorable committee members and a number of General Secretariat employees, the findings of its study, “The reality of elderly care in the Sultanate."
During the meeting, the minutes of the previous committee meeting were approved, and the decisions taken were followed up, in addition to reviewing of the new work.
It is noteworthy that the study aims to determine the reality of policies and legislations related to the care and protection of the elderly, and identify the efforts made by the concerned authorities in the Sultanate in this framework, and to seek to develop proposals and appropriate mechanisms to bridge the legislative and legal gaps in the field of care for the elderly .
