The Standing Committees are one of the most important divisions of the Council after the Bureau of the Council, which is the mainstay of the Council's activity. Through it, the Council exercises most of its terms of reference. Draft laws and topics are presented to the Council following examination by the Standing Committees. The Standing Committees are responsible for issues in their related specializations.
